I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything. Between bronchitis, work, and family, there has been no good time. This next card is one of my all time favorites. I have always been intrigued with the triple layered stamping.
The CS I used was SU crumb cake, vanilla, and ruby red (for the butterfly). I also used SU's Stippled Blossoms stamp set and the Verve Big Wish set for the sentiment. This is one of my favorites too. The inks I used were ruby red, crumb cake, sage shadow, Distressed inks Bundled sage and Antique linen.
It took some thinking for me to figure out the measurements, but I was happy with the way it turned out.
I started out with 4 x 5 1/4", then 3 1/8"x 4 5/16", and then 2 x 3 1/2". Added an off white bow, added an exotic butterfly from cheery Lynn (added glitter to the sides), and finally the sentiment from Verve. I almost forgot that I added a pearl to the butterfly.
For the inside, I stamped off the stippled blossom stamp for the bottom left corner in Sage Shadow and placed my butterfly in the right hand corner connecting the two with a dotted stamp from Hero Arts Butterflies stamp set.
Have a great evening!

Autumn Blessings
It's been awhile since I have posted anything on my blog. I am still new at this and would love for someone to give me ideas of how to set up a background for my blog. Something pretty. I had a link for this once but lost it. Anyway, I thought I would post another card. This time it is a fall card.

| My Fall card for a friend |
I started out with an off white CS for my base. Then I measured another piece of CS the size I thought would work as my focal piece. I sponged the CS with Distress inks while masking a "1 1/4" circle for the moon and then I used a Darice EF. I used a blender pen with Distress Inks to color the embossed image using Bundled sage and Tea Dye inks. Then I divided the CS as close to thirds as possible
(1 7/8") each. I added the sentiment from Verve-Autumn Slendor and cut it out with Spellbinders scalloped rectangles-sm, sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen and placed it in the right corner. Added the twine, covering the knot with a leaf also from Verve colored in SU Really Rust. I had gold round stickers and placed 3 of them in the left corner.
The stamps used on the inside were from TCP Studio-Autumn Harvest for the plants and the sentiment.
I used the kissing technique for the plants and used Bundled sage and really rust-SU.
Thanks for stopping by.

Spring in the Air
I apologize for the delay in posting another card. I have less time than I thought.
I really liked this card when it was finished. Again I saw a similar card on another blog from 2009, created by Kathy Jones.. I used the CS Mellow moss as my base. Then I layered it with White and Bashful blue. I took the blue through the Polka Dots CB embossing folder. Then I used another smaller sheet of white CS on top of that with a Pool party designer paper from SU layered in top.. My focal picture was a stamp by Skipping Stones- Butterfly Kisses. I applied SU markers in Cameo Coral and Wild wasabi to the stamp and then stamped my image. Soft sky was sponged around the edges after cutting the white piece out with Nestabilities circles sm. and scallops sm. I love butterflies as it shows in my cards, so I added a butterfly from the same stamps set, coloring it in Summer Sun and a med. grey marker for the tail marks. I used a neat corner die from Cheery Lynn for the corner and added a pink pearl. Then with the help of my CB, after using my greeting of Happy birthday from Endless Creations stamp, I cut it out with the Nestie Rectangle die and scallop die. I think I cut out my small butterfly with a MS punch and colored it with summer sun and used the grey marker on it for dimension. I also sponged around the edges with summer sky.
I like the inside to match the front, so I embossed another sheet of Bashful blue CS and used my small circle die again for my sentiment base. I used the same stamp but only a part of it. My sentiment was a stamp by PrintWorks. I like to add a verse of scripture, so I used one from PrintWorks clearly Defined.

Backgrounds Galore
The card today was inspired by inspiredtostamp.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html_ I started my card base, which was the standard 11"x 4 1/4",in a light lavender CS from Michael's. I scored it at 5 1/2" and set that aside. My next layer was white. The next layer was Bordering Blue from SU and stamped with SU's Parlor Prints BG stamp in Not quite Navy. I then measured another white strip, 2 1/2"x 5 1/4", and another white strip 2 1/4"x 5 1/4". Before gluing the last strip, I stamped it with Justrite's Floral Flourishes in Momento Lulu lavender. I glued these layers together as shown. I lightly glued the dainty white lace around my card and also placed a narrow white satin ribbon over that and used a 1/8" score-tape to hold it, plus glued the ends. My focal image was a white piece cut out with Nestabilities Label 12. I sponged it with Lulu lavender on the outside before removing the die and Soft Sky in the middle. My flower is from Justrite Garden Set which was colored with Copics E55, V01, V12, v15, V17, g40, G43, and Tim Holtz Distress marker peeled paint. I also used Not quite Navy on the flowers. This layer was set with Zots medium dimentionals and placed on my card. I then added the Cheery Lynn corner Deca A die. I love these delicate dies. Added the two pearls and that finished the front. Before attaching this to the card base, i assembled the inside.
My sentiment was one I typed on the computer and cut out with the Labels 12 die again and layered as shown. I used the Bordering Blue CS stamped in Not quite Navy cutting it out with the same die. I usually stamp a scripture verse on the upper section, glue my top layers to the base, stamp a signature on the back or personal label and wha-laa it is finished.
The things I changed from the pretty original was the corner die, 2 less pearls, the BG stamp on the colored CS, the flower choice and white die cut background underneath it.
Kathy does fabulous work and I appreciate her sharing her pretty cards.
Have a good day
Falling Flowers
This card was inspired my Brandy's cards. She showed a video titled Cascading Flowers and i thought it was so neat. I did not have the flower stamp she used, but I actually had a SU flower stamp that worked from Delight in Life. I will try and link her video to this post so you can see how she did this card. I used a different embossing folder because I didn't have the SU folder she used, though mine was similar. I fussy cut all my flowers and used Copic markers and a SU marker to color in the flowers. Nestabilities Lg scalloped oval die for my sentiment from Circular Sayings. I also used 3 D Lacquer in yellow in the center of the flowers. In the small flower, i used Liquid pearls in gold to add dimension.
I placed a couple flowers to the inside to cover up the ridge. The section that was cut from the front of the card at the beginning , I fussy cut the pattern and glued it to the right side to match the front.

Hello Friend

The inside of my card was fairly simple. I stamped more balloons from Dreamer's designs called Birthday 5 Balloons and colored them in with my Copics. My scripture verse was from Endless Creations. The sentiment was from Stamps Rosa Inc. that I bought at Apple Tree & Co.
Have a good evening!

Flowers Galore 1
Hello everyone. This is new to me so overlook any weird things you might see.
For the square card, I used SU's Pale Plum CS, Black CS, and white CS-GP, and DP from Making Memories- Lauren Fleur. My first layer was the designer paper and I stamped it with small flowers from Impression Obsession-branches of a tree. It just needed something of a darker color and I was satisfied with how it looked. I then layered my focal image from Outline rubber Stamps. I love these stamps because they have what I call a Happy Look. I colored the flowers with Copic markers-V12, BV01,
V17, V12 and Y17, and BG000. I also used the Distress marker- Peeled Paint sponged at the bottom. I am not sure what I used for the leaves but I may have used Wild Wasabi or the Distress marker.
My sentiment was from Verve-Big Wish. Added the ribbon in Perfect Plum and tied a bow in Wisteria Wonder twine.
I thought I would include how I did the inside. I see all these pretty cards and then wonder how would they do the inside. I like both to match somewhat. I layered my white CS on Black CS and then inked up the section of my stamp I wanted with Copics and then added the sentiment from Apple Tree & Co.
Thanks for looking. See you next time!
