Fenced In

It has been a very long time since I have posted anything. I am still working 5 days a week and I never feel like I have the amount of time I need to add my cards. I saw this idea from Gracie Chevez who posted it on Our Daily Bread. I wish I had her link because hers was very pretty. I didn't have the same fence die so I used one from Impression Obsession, and I changed the flower embellishment on the side. She used leaves with a bird, and I used different designer paper, too, and a different sentiment, and I used a grass die behind the fence and she didn't use anything there.
The designer paper was Spring Morning (Colorbox). The base color was textured Blushing Bride(SU), and then used white (GP). It has been awhile since I made this one and I will try my best to describe how I made it. I think after deciding the size of my front piece, I embossed it using the CB dots embossing folder. Then I cut out the center using two sizes of the Labels twenty die from Spellbinders. I wanted my flowered DP to show from behind so I placed the DP first on the CS. Then attached the embossed piece on the Blushing bride front. I stamped my sentiment in Momento T. Black and sponged around the die before removing it in Strawberry Slush (SU). The sentiment was World More Special by Stampabilities. I apologize for not having the links for these. I am still learning how to do this. Ok......
I cut out my grass using the fence die and attached it to the front exposing some of the DP below.
Then I attached the fence with small foam dots. and also used the foam dots for the sentiment in the middle. The leaves were a punch and the flowers were from Prima Petites Charmer and on one of them I sponged Groovy Guava (SU) to match the paper.
That's about it. I love the dies and seem to use them often now. Thanks for checking in!

Cards made September of 2014

Time Spent with Friends

It has been a long time since I have posted anything.  I will update these instructions when I have more time.
I did use Baja Breeze, Pale Plum, and Lily of the Valley DP. I entered this in a contest of Taylored Expressions but I am not sure I did it right. The ink I used was Marina Mist. Momento Black, and Baja Breeze. The stamps used were from Sweet n Sassy- Flourish, HCPC- Botanical Floral 2. I used Nestabilities Fancy Framed tags two ( I used just one end of it to adorn the bottom of my square area.) I didn't have the SU stamp so I typed it up on my computer and used it that way. The flower was from a die from HC and the center was a circle punch. I colored the edges with Baja breeze. The ribbon was in Pale Plum.

As you can see I used the same DP on the inside.  The sentiment was one I typed on the computer.

This card was for a friend who has been sick. The cute mouse is from Whipper Snapper. The sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy. I sponged SU Soft Sky around the edges of the mouse while still in the Nestabilities  deckled oval dye. I also used the Lacy oval die. The Light purple CS was one from Micheals and the DP is one from Gina K called Garden Tour. I wanted a pretty edge so I cut them out with the A2 Scalloped Borders One dies. The CS used was a lavender from Michaels and White.

This one was from an idea I saw on Pinterest.  I think hers was much prettier than mine, but I didn't have the same DP or the same butterfly. I also used a different word background stamp. I shaped the Basic Grey Flutter Butterfly stamp and actually stamped it twice and then molded the top one one with the flower tools by Punch Bunch. It doesn't show in the picture but the butterfly is much lighter and is shiny because i used pearly white CS from Marco. The DPs are from recollections (green), and Rose from Hobby Lobby. The BG stamp is one from Angel Company called The beauty of a woman. The CS is SU Pretty in Pink and White.  I cut the focal point out with Nestie circles sm. and scalloped circles sm. The sentiment is from verve with 5 small pink pearls below. and a larger one in the right top corner. The ribbon is a Light pink gingham but I can't recall where I bought it.

This one is fairly simple. I used a digital  Pansey stamp from Audrey.  That is all I remember of this pretty flower. I wish I could remember where I saw this. I should write it down when I find these. It is a layering image.  The EF is a Hobby Solutions called Rectangle Frame. I used a corner rounder to soften the edges. I used foam dots to layer the flowers to give it texture. The sentiment is by Momenta '13. I used Winks of Stella-yellow and clear on the flower edges.

I particularly liked this one because I love the Victorian look. The CS is SU- Naturals Ivory. the DP is by Life stories-Pink Damask and Marabelle.  The stamps were from Gina K =Summer Blooms and vertical greetings in SU Close to Cocoa and Distress Antique Linen. I did a little sponging around the edges of the green DP  too but lightly. I used a 1/4" green organdy ribbon and the tied the button on with some twine at the top the pretty ivory lace. I think I bought the lace from Flourishes. I used two different colors on the small butterflies from SU markers in Close to Cocoa and Old Olive.

I was disappointed with this one because I wish I had done some type of embossing on the Mellow Moss CS before adhering my letters (from Provo Craft) and flowers from  a SU flower punch. The other colors of CS were white, Marina Mist, and Cameo Coral and Pale Plum. The inside balloon was a flocked sticker. I tried using the Xyron machine for the letters and also the Aqua glue.

I liked this one because of the whimsical background stamp and flower from Hero Arts. I used the swirl EF on the Celery green DP from SU. The other CS is Bordering Blue, white. and Baja breeze DP. I rounded the corners with my SU corner rounder, The sentiment is from Verve-Birthday Surprise. Added a greenish blue rhinestone under the sentiment.

The CS used on this card was White (sponged around the edge in light green), Wild wasabi, cameo Coral,  Baked Brown Sugar and a Light Parchment.  I stamped over the parchment paper with the SU Parlor Prints in Crumb cake. The stem stamp was Fiskars Petals from scratch. The flower was a sticker by Martha Stewart.  I used a die from Nestabilities from the A2 basic A  and B sets and the A2 fancy weave.  The inside flower stamp is from a SU sunflower set. My front sentiment is by GinaK. Attached a white satin ribbon from Ellen Hutson and a light green pearl.

This one is a photo card. I liked the way it looked liked Fall. My daughter took this great picture. I used for the first time the Spellbinders Celebrations Framed canvas. It is quite different. I also used the small scalloped border punch. Then added a narrow ivory lace. The sentiment is from Judith. I added the 3 sizes of Sprinkles in green.

This one is from Outlines. Love this stamp! I used a lot of Copic markers and even some watercolor markers from SU. The CS is from SU in Pumpkin Pie and baked brown Sugar. The tan is from a misc, and the white is from Wal-Mart. The DP is from Heartfelt Creations- Sunny day. I used the Dotted swirls by Hero arts over the DP.  Along the edges of the white  I used the small scalloped border punch by EK success in the Baked brown Sugar. The small leaf was a small leaf punch colored over the DP with a Copic marker in orange.  I added a few dots around the pumpkin stamp and a yellow Sprinkle in the lower left corner. The inside pumpkin was a sticker.
Have a wonderful day!

Four Floral Cards

Hello….As you can tell, it has been a long time since I have posted anything. I don't know where my time goes. I am still working and I guess that takes up most of my time. I wanted to put a few more of my cards on here.
On this particular card I used SU card stock and designer paper. The CS is Groovy Guava and the DP is Spring flowers. The stamps I used for the stems were from Watercolor Garden 2, the sentiment is from Woodware USA, and one of the flowers is from Heartfelt Creations daisy patch flowers. The ink used for the stems and the one flower was Always Artichoke. I think I used the die that corresponds with the flower but I had to do a little fussy cutting too. The other two flowers were from a SU flower punch using another DP from the same SU set of paper. I used 3 small buttons in the same colors and added a pearl bling, the label using Nestabilities Double ended tags, and the sentiment. I had a small piece of bling and added that to the sentiment plus two white pearls on each end of the label.
I will add a picture of the inside when I can find the picture of it.

This card is more simple, but I really like this flower stamp and it is pretty all by itself. I named this one Pretty Petals. The card stock was a misc. sheet of deep aqua CS and I have no name for it and I used Georgia Pacific white for the front.
The ink was Momento Tuxedo Black, and copic colors--B00, B02, B04, E31. E33, BG0000, and the aqua Spica Pen. I placed embossed lines as a frame with my Scor-pal. The stem was colored with Wild wasabi from SU. I used the lg rectangles die and lg scalloped rectangle die from Nestabilities to cut out my flower and added an aqua rhinestone in the lower corner.
The sentiment is from Stampabilities.

This one I named Poppy Parade. Again most of the products I used are from SU. The CS colors are--Riding Hood Red, Black, Crumb Cake, and white. The  Poppy stamp was from Sweet 'n Sassy and the sentiment is by Papertrey. I colored then with copics--R30, R22, R24, G82, YG67, and C7( centers). I also used more mustard in the flower centers.
I used Nestabilities Labels Four, Sizzix Lg. scalloped edgelit for the right side, a Darice EF and 4 rhinestones. I did stamp the poppy image on the crumb cake using watermark ink for a soft image.

The CS used on this one was SU Lavender Lace, White, Blush Blossom textured and Barely Banana.
I used a BG stamp from Hero Arts called Delicate Woven Fibers in two different sizes. Then I placed my three gold stickers over them and colored the two in with Copics--G24, R32, BV00, BV04,
RV21, Y21, and one I am not sure of. I added a white satin bow to the flower.

My last one for today was made using SU Bashful Blue as my base, and layered it with the Black CS. I layered the black with the DP was from Countryside Evening from Heartfelt Creations. I saw another card made similar to this so I cannot take credit for all of this. I stamped images from Stamped stitches over the DP on the smaller sheet from Hot off the Press. The butterflies are from Our Daily bread -Faith and cut out with the die that matches. I did some sponging with Bordering Blue ink.
The ink was Versafine Smokey grey. SU- Bordering Blue, and Marina Mist. The sentiment was from Stamps by Judith. I cut the rectangle out my cutter  and  the circle out with Nestabilities sm and lg.
That is all for now. Have a safe and joyful weekend!

Valentine Card 1

Since it is getting close to Valentine's Day, I wanted to post a Valentine card I made for my husband. The card stock was White and Real Red from SU.
I used the heart die from Nestabilities. The BG was an EF-Dots from Sizzix
The  vine stamp was from Judi Kin's and the love sentiment was from Hero Arts.
The ink was actually SU markers- Old Olive, Real Red, and Rose Red (flowers).

The inside:
Stamps-Heart corner stamp from Apple Tree (a store), and a Valentine stamp from Clearly Inspired
I used the computer for part of the sentiment.
For the rounded corners, I placed 4 heart stickers and embossed dots at the bottom.

Sweet Pea

Good day!

This card was made using the SU Sweet Pea designer paper. It is double sided so I used both sides….One for the background and one for the image. I placed a butterfly sticker from Stampabilities on the front and used the sentiment from SU-2001. I rounded the corners, added a green organdy ribbon and that finished my front.
Most of the time taken to make this card was just figuring out how to use the paper the best.

The insde was taken from the same designer paper which I glued in two separate sheets so the card would fold properly. I cut out where the flowers were and glued them on top of the striped paper on the left side and the right. They fit is just right. Then I added a butterfly from the same sticker set and a small flower by the sentiment. The sentiment was a Kathy Davis stamp from Hobby Lobby. I added a scripture verse on the left side.
I was very pleased with how this turned out!

Sweet and Sassy

This card was inspired by a card from Korin Sutherland. I changed the colors, the embossing folder ( I used the Couture creations- Magical EF),  the sentiment, the flower centers, and the border punch and added designer paper behind the border design. I used Copics-B41,B34, B21, Y11, G43, and Momento T Black, and a Creative Memories black marker . The DP is from SU Sweet Pea. The stamp was from a Sweet and Sassy-Dream Big set. The yellow ribbon was satin and organdy. The border punch was a triple loop from MS. The flower centers were black spots from SU. My sentiment was from Clear stamps- Everyday expressions. At the top of the border I added small blue pearls. The oval for the flowers was cut out with a Creative Memories cutting set because I didn't have one large enough from Nestabilities which I ruffled up the edge before attaching with foam dots.

On the inside I just used the same butterfly with hand drawn lines behind it and a sentiment from verses- Stolen Moments and the birthday stamp was from Whipper Snapper-29 Again.

It snowed 5 1/2" today which means I won't work today. I am headed now for the treadmill. Have a safe and warm day!

Floral Delight 2

I tried to add this to my previous card but couldn't figure out how, so…I will put it in a new post. I added a 3D flower sticker to the front to add color. I liked it better. I  used a SU embossing folder and used Labels Four from Spellbinders, and green satin ribbon on the side.
Have a good day!
